The Achieving Seamstress

Tuesday October 27th 1874.

Miss Mary A. McIntyre, of Puslinch, took the first prize at the Central Exhibition for a collection of domestic manufactures, consisting of one pair unfulled blankets, one piece of wincey, one piece of flannel, 2 pairs of stockings, 2 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of mitts, knitted shawl, and woollen shirt.  The prize was $10, which has been paid over to Miss McIntyre, who has hitherto been very successful at the annual exhibition and who deserves great credit for her taste and industry.
