The Badenoch of Puslinch

The title of this book notice is expressly designed to extend a courtesy to the reader, by anticipating the question, “Which Badenoch is being addressed?”  Why, of course, it’s none other than “The Badenoch of Puslinch”.

The discernment of travellers to Puslinch Township, eager to admire and appreciate that well and most favourably known community, Badenoch, has always been easily confounded, for though they will travel past impressive farms and forests, sustained by fertile soils and abundant streams, Badenoch, itself, will not appear with their close observation.  Badenoch appears only to those who become familiar with its inhabitants, for it is within the people of Badenoch that the community truly resides.  It is in their honesty, their forthrightness, their willingness to help others, and in their sharing of their lives.  Yes, Badenoch has long been admired for the fruit of its fields, but ever more so, for the fruit of its people.

To celebrate the 175th anniversary of Badenoch in the year 2007, the classic book on the history of that stellar community was published in an updated edition, entitled “Badenoch 1832-2007”.  The entire, original 1967 edition is included and many new articles and photographs have been added.
